You can search using this form for a choice of pictures of seaweeds, seagrasses and some freshwater algae. All pictures are initially loaded as thumbnails to reduce loading times, but if you click on the thumbnails you will get larger versions which are suitable for use in lectures and presentations.

The images remain the property of the copyright owners who give permission for non-commercial use for research or teaching purposes, provided their copyright and the source is acknowledged. For PowerPoint presentations, the images can generally be selected and dragged from AlgaeBase directly on to the PowerPoint pages, but this depends on your operating system and its version and on the version of the software your are using. Generally, images are low-resolution ones designed for presentations and will project well at about 600 pixels wide. Please read the copyright notice, and respect the copyright-owners' rights.
